LORE Media & Arts, a 15-year-old cultural event production company, is proud to return to the City of Scottsdale for the 2nd Scottsdale Dia de los Muertos and Noche de Ofrendas cultural and art celebration, centered at the Old Adobe Mission in downtown Scottsdale, AZ.

LORE Media & Arts and our newly developing foundation work with NPOs, NGOs, private corporations and government/ civic entities to connect with professional visual artists and community leaders, in order to create public visual arts-based events that promote the positive cultural identity of Latino and Mesoamerican indigenous communities, and to empower participants via scholarships to pursue higher academic achievement, and to encourage civic and neighborhood community building through the arts.

Because our former and recent clients include the LA City Music Center & Grand Park, the Ford Theater at the Hollywood Bowl, the LA Zoo, a four-year cultural festival residency at the Autry Museum, and programming for the Fairplex Pomona, we enjoy the ability to bring our world-class artists and designers to help guide local families, community members, and artists to create and build beautiful and authentic altares for the celebration.

The visual and performing artists who we represent are second to none, including the world-renowned Ballet Folklorico, Grandeza Mexicana, traditional Mesoamerican dancers, as well as the highly acclaimed indigenous storyteller, Michael Heralda, and many other top Latino visual artists, including Heriberto Luna. This year, we are continuing to grow a fully developed school curriculum, as well as on-site event learning activities, beyond their first-year iteration.

LORE is a noted, authentic, Latino authority on Dia de los Muertos, with a successful event, production, and marketing track record, and a tried-and-true method of community outreach and integration (both in terms of new art talent and new audiences):

  • Intimate professional understanding of working with university programming, museums, city, county events & private entities

  • LORE owns and manages its own successful Day of the Dead Festival in Scottsdale, Arizona

  • Experience making formal presentations before city government and foreign government entities

  • Long-term relationship with the Los Angeles Oaxacan art community and State of Mexico’s Oaxacan Secretary of Culture’s office

  • Experience working with and creating events that coordinate NPOs, private corporations, commercial sponsors, and marketing firms
